Банковская стратегия, направленная на уменьшение чувствительности своих обязательств к изменениям процентной ставки. Когда банк работаете "чувствительными" к изменению процентных ставок депозитами (например, присутствует на рынке шестимесячных сертификатов), он может зафиксировать или почти зафиксировать стоимость повторного выпуска или пролонгации депозитных сертификатов просто посредством "коротко" продающихся ценных бумаг с поставкой в будущем.
